The president and founder of AIM Market Research, Marc Liebman, was employed by ASEA (which became ABB in 1988) from 1978 to 1988, as a sales representative focusing on steel production facilities in the US and Canada. Mr. Liebman was responsible for the sales of new steelmaking technologies and equipment, particularly EAF furnaces, ladle furnaces and Continuous Casting auxiliary technologies. Prior to his tenure at ASEA, Mr. Liebman worked for Westinghouse in a variety of assignments, which included a focus on the steel industry. Marc Liebman is now a “Lifetime Member” of the AIST Association of Iron & Steel Technology.
After more than 35 years of conducting primary research in the steel and many other industries and completing over 600 market studies and surveys, mostly for firms that supply products and services to these industries, AIM Market Research is no longer implementing market studies or surveys.
However, a legacy of our research work has been the development and publication of various plant location maps, mostly focused on specific steel process applications, but also targeting other metals industries, such as, foundries, glass, lime and cement.
The purpose of this web site is to provide information about the plant location maps presently offered by AIM.
In addition, as a legacy of its prior research work, AIM can provide information from select maps as excel spread sheets containing contact information of key personnel or the same information found on certain maps for an additional fee. If interested in an excel file please use our contact form.
